Ronke Oshodi-Oke Loses ‘Sister’ To Bone Cancer

Popular Yoruba movie actress Ronke Ojo, better known as Ronke Oshodi-Oke has lost her adopted younger sister to a Bone Cancer illness that she has been battling with for the last three years.
Sources say Oluwabunmi Esther Akinleye passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the University of Ibadan College Hospital (UCH).
As earlier reported on Nigerian Entertainment today (NET), Oluwabunmi had complained of a sharp pain in her shoulder and underwent minor surgery, only to find out when fully examined to be diagnosed of Bone Cancer.
Before her death, over N2M (Two Million Naira) had been spent in an effort to save her life but the cancer kept on spreading. It was decided tat she had to be flown to India for surgery – a total cost of expenses leading to N7.5M. Pleas were sent out through different media but up until her death yesterday, the money had not been raised.
